Andy Moor
Moor, plays electric guitar, and from the first strike of pick against string, there's no mistaking him. He's amongst the few people on earth who can not only make a guitar sound like it's strung with highly charged telephone cables, but also make that sound right Bill Meyer 2005
A collection of fifteen electric guitar pieces by Andy Moor, a member of The Ex, "and a collector of thrilling collaborations as an improviser". On this his debut solo Cd, Andy Moor explores a wide spectrum of his unusual guitar style, resulting in an exciting, varied and challenging collection, ranging from melodic solo guitar pieces to atmospheric soundscapes, and wild outbursts of radical sound. The pieces were recorded in various locations over a 5 years period until 2006, some specifically for this release while others were culled from earlier film, dance or theatre projects. One track solo pieces nearly all emerged from improvisation sessions while a few are multitrack, composed pieces. The mood of Marker is generally intimate, but the Cd doesn't lack the energy of Andy's well known exuberant style.
